Jesuit Mission & Wanda Mines

Live contact with the
history of the seventeenth century and enjoy the beauty of gemstones in all its
forms and colors. This tour covers a total of 480 Km. (Round trip) for the
National Route 12 enjoying the landscape of the region, passing through small
towns, villages and plantations up to the imposing Jesuit Ruins (located 240 km. From city ??of Puerto Iguazu). Built in
the seventeenth century, during the tenure of the Jesuit Missionaries in this
region. The visit is accompanied by a local guide, who
will explain to visitors the construction, life and customs of the indigenous
Guarani and catechizing them by the Jesuits. On the way visit Gemstone Mine in
the city of Wanda
where the process is subjected to which the stone and the various crafts that
are made with it are known.
