Cerro Tronador & Black Glacier

This tour will allow us to enjoy the incredible experience of being in the heart of the mythical Andes mountains, where Tronador Hill will be waiting. Just 90 kilometers from the city of Bariloche is the Tronador Hill, of 3,478 meters. After traveling along Route 258, having skirted Lake Gutiérrez and spotted Cerro Catedral, you get to the lake Mascardi. After crossing its eastern margin, a detour which passes through the Manso river and bridge leading to the Tronador arises. This is the highest mountain in the Nahuel Huapi National Park and displayed at his feet an impressive glacier tongue covered by volcanic ash, which gives the ice his particular black color. Its summit is permanently covered with snow and glaciers, the melting causes constant landslides. The deafening noise produced by pieces of ice falling is what justifies the name of the mountain.
